Are We Seeing the End of Trends?

Lately, I’ve been noticing something interesting.
I’ve seen several posts on social media referring to 2026 as “the end of trends.” I’ve also heard it come up in conversations — with designers, showrooms, and people across the industry.
I’m not a designer, but when the same idea keeps surfacing in different places, it’s usually worth paying attention.
What Seems to Be Shifting
This doesn’t feel like a rejection of trends altogether. It feels more like a reset.
More emphasis on:
Personal point of view over formulas
Long-term choices over fast cycles
Spaces that feel lived-in, not staged
Homes aren’t meant to change every few years. Furniture, finishes, and lighting are long-term decisions, and there seems to be a growing comfort with choosing things because they feel right — not just because they’re having a moment.
An Observation, Not a Prediction
Maybe 2026 isn’t the end of trends — but it might be the moment we stop letting them lead every decision.
